Commissioner Carbone

assumed the Chair of the Board of County Commissioners.

Commissioner Schinhofen

made a motion to set the date, time and location as Monday, August24, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. in Pahrump, Nevada, at the Commissioners chambers; seconded by Commissioner Wichman; 5 yeas.

Commissioner Wichman

commented that the quote in the paper about the Animal Advisory Board bringing this forward was her fault and a misunderstanding.

Commissioner Schinhofen

read the title of the bill into the record.

Commissioner Borasky

thought the public had not gone vocal yet, but in the past the Commissioners have had multiple short meetings or teleconferences and this one was to set an off date for a Commissioners’ meeting. He said the public was starting to get a little antsy about what the Commissioners were trying to do and he cautioned the Board to be careful and use the teleconferences more for emergency meetings instead of using them at its pleasure.

Commissioner Schinhofen

stated he was glad this was being set as a separate date and time as it was important to the public and thought the Commissioners would be able to serve the public better by doing it this way.

Commissioner Carbone
