Board of County Commissioners
Five commissioners, one per district, elected countywide to four-year terms. They sit jointly as the Board of Highway Commissioners, the Liquor and Licensing Board, the Board of Health, and as the governing body of unincorporated Pahrump, Beatty, Gabbs and Manhattan, which is why a single meeting agenda can run to thirty items.
