commented it looked like the County started with $33 million and was ending with a total budget of $34 million.

explained these items were requests for temporary liquor licenses because the State went to court and the judge said they had to be liquor license distributors to be able to move any of their marijuana product.

asked if there would be an automatic shut down when the wind was blowing or when the temperature dropped below 35 degrees. Butch Capel from Valley Electric confirmed they were looking at doing something like that. He said they were hoping with this concept with the water coming out of the rock June 28, 2017 14. For Possible Action Discussion and deliberation on proceeding with the design and construction of the fountain at Catvada Eye.-Cont’d. instead of a waterfall there would be much less splash over and it was a better way of conserving the water.

stated her objections to this item. She said this was one of the few landmarks and no disrespect to Valley Electric but the design looked like it belonged in a city hail. She knew there was insurance money to take care of the repairs needed from the car hitting the fountain and felt from the people she spoke to that it needed to be repaired and it needed to look like it did. She pointed out most of the water was recycled so there was not enough water evaporating, but if money was being lost then the duck pond with sprinklers running needed to be looked at. Commissioner Cox said she would vote against the item.

suggested continuing this item as he did not think it was going to go anywhere today.

asked Ms. Lee to speak to the necessary repairs.

Ms. Lee

said right now it cost a little over $7,400.00 a year to operate the fountain in its current condition with evaporation and wind blow off averaging about 12,300 gallons a month. The current cost to repair was $16,245.00

Commissioner Cox

said she believed that the insurance company was going to cover $15,000.00 of that.

Commissioner Schinhofen

asked who was paying for this, to which Ms. Lee responded VEA was.

stated it was not the expense she had an issue with. It was the history of the fountain itself and everything else she stated.
