Sheriff McGill
explained the purpose of this item was only to allow them to open their doors, stock, and prepare for the actual opening of their business. This was not to conduct business.

made a motion to approve the 90-day package license for Wendy Black for her business; seconded by Commissioner Jabbour; 5 yeas. February 28, 2023

9. For Possible Action Discussion and deliberation to appoint Elizabeth Jordan
Commissioner Carbone
asked if Elizabeth Jordan had all the qualifications.
Mr. Sutton
said yes. While Savannah Rucker was on FMLA Ms. Jordan served as the interim Comptroller and did a great job.
Mrs. Rucker
said when Ms. Jordan was back from her time out of the office they had to go by the bank and update the signature authority for all accounts so she could be the counter-signer with the Treasurer. That took some time, which was why the request was being made today. The signature file in the financial system had to be updated as well.

made a motion to ratify the County Manager’s decision to appoint Elizabeth Jordan as the Acting Interim Comptroller effective February 28, 2023; seconded by Commissioner Jabbour; 4 yeas.
