Mr. Waggoner

requested that we make certain areas of town more a priority when it comes to zone changes. Staff has been working on a questionnaire to send out to the public in order to get general feedback. Mr. Waggoner stated that the Master Plan should not only cater to today but the next 5-10 years. The questionnaire would be shown as a presentation in the workshop in April.

Commissioner Koenig

requested that we place on the questionnaire what area of town the submitter lives in.

Commissioner Curtis

made a comment in reference to public transportation and requested that we include public transportation into the survey. Brett Waggoner stated that number 80 includes public transportation.

Commissioner Curtis

stated that Clark County has grant money and funds that go towards public transportation and stated she would like to see a bus at the county line and having a parking lot there. She questioned whether we could work with the Regional Transportation Commission.

Commissioner Koenig

stated that there is a program in town that takes people back and forth to Vegas. It is $3.00 each way. There are several buses and they have given us buses, NDOT has given us grants to buy buses. Most people in town don’t know we have it. We advertise on TV, newspaper and radio. Page 2 of 3

stated those are individual programs from the Senior Center.

Commissioner Koenig

stated no it is different, an actual transportation system in town. He attends all the committee meetings.

Commissioner Turner

asked if there be a way that when looking at the areas that we work with utility companies to see what ones have utilities to them.

Mr. Waggoner

stated that the utility companies will not provide maps. We have the ability to drive development within this document where there is infrastructure and where the utility companies will service. In the workshop we will be assembling the data we receive from the public so we can narrow it down to a better Master Plan.

Commissioner Lee

asked if he is looking for direction from the board on the letter and the survey.

Commissioner Lee

asked if they need help with establishing the technical committee.

Mr. Waggoner

stated he would like the RPC to be the technical and steering committee. They can keep it within the RPC meetings and if they need a separate meeting, they can do that. Workshops: Discussion and Direction Concerning Items for Future Meetings/Workshops; Set Date, Location and Time.

Commissioner Lee

stated that the next RPC meeting is March 11" and the Master Plan workshop is April 27". There is open meeting law training this Friday at 1:30 pm.
