Mr. Holden

mentioned an approval for an increase in the electrical transmission lines to support new solar projects. (00:06:35) Disclosure Of Ex-Parte Communications and Possible Conflict of Interest.

Mr. Goedhart

disclosed that he was a holder of water rights and that he would not vote on matters that might benefit himself. Mrs. Strickland disclosed that she was a water rights broker but not a voting member and could therefore not pose a conflict for the board. (00:07:29) FOR POSSIBLE ACTION — PUBLIC HEARING - Discussion and deliberation to adopt, or amend and adopt the Final Budget for Fiscal Year 2023- 2024 for the Nye County Water District. (00:48:08) FOR POSSIBLE ACTION - Discussion and deliberation to approve, amend and approve or reject Change Order #1 for the contract of the Nye County Water District General Manager. Nye County Commissioner Frank Carbone spoke under public comment that he felt the change order was a good thing. Nye County Commissioner Debra Strickland stated that the board was getting a good deal as the manager did not need the use a secretary. Nye County resident John Koenig noted an improvement in the Managers agenda composition work and said he felt the change order was appropriate. (00:53:11) POSSIBLE ACTION — Discussion and deliberation to set the date, time and location of the next Water District Governing Board meeting for Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the Pahrump Commissioners Chambers. (00:54:56) Closing General Public Comment —- Up to three-minute time limit per person. Action will not be taken on the matters considered during this period. Nye County Commissioner Debra Strickland mentioned a problem with appointments with the Town of Pahrump and requested that the General Manager build a schedule for reappointments of the Water Board’s members.
