The people of Pahrump said no. Nevada signed the medical waste incinerator permit anyway.
The state issued MediWaste its permit on August 31. It can burn 41.4 tons of medical waste a day, the next block from the county courthouse. The permit calls it pyrolysis. The EPA has already ruled on that word. If you want to appeal, the clock runs out September 5.
